This position is responsible for leading the design and development of new mechanical products and systems for mobile equipment. The Mechanical Engineer will create detailed 3D models and drawings, perform design validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle.

Duties:

Including but not limited to:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD software.
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications, including dimensions, fastening methods, and materials.
  • Perform design reviews, calculations, and FEA simulations to validate performance and ensure reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine layouts and components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues; provide technical support to production.
  • Perform weight distribution analysis to optimize payload.
  • Develop and execute testing protocols and product validation plans.
  • Create and maintain part specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and related documentation in the ERP system.
  • Contribute to the creation of illustrations for technical manuals and reference guides.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office; experience with DraftSight preferred.
  • FEA experience (SolidWorks Simulation or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in mobile equipment design is strongly preferred.
