The DOT Corporate Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring organization-wide compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including those from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). This role streamlines compliance processes, supports driver readiness, maintains records, and promotes safety and regulatory adherence across operations.
Duties:Including but not limited to:
  • Stay current with FMCSA, FAA, and FRA regulations; communicate changes and develop procedures and training content accordingly.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance safety and compliance.
  • Manage all fuel tax filings and secure necessary out-of-state permits; coordinate data collection with internal teams.
  • Maintain CDL driver drug testing pool; ensure enrollment, screening, and follow-up per DOT requirements.
  • Keep detailed, compliant records (electronic and paper) for logs, incidents, and training, aligned with regulatory retention timelines.
  • Conduct annual compliance reviews of CDL holders and oversee clearinghouse submissions for eligibility checks.
  • Lead investigations into vehicle-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Train drivers on Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and maintain accurate logs for DOT compliance.
  • Guide team members through the CDL licensing process and schedule test appointments in line with FMCSA guidelines.
  • Track expiration dates and proactively notify drivers; manage requirements to maintain legal driving status.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in safety or transportation compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of DOT, FAA, FRA, and FMCSA regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, legal, public health, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
