Duties:Including but not limited to:
Operate various fabrication machines, including: 2CNC press brakes, metal rollers, Rotary punch presses, coil straighteners and feeders, sanders, drills, grinders, and milling machines, as well as ironworkers, saws, and shears.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to produce precision parts.
Accurately track labor and inventory through ERP systems; retrieve materials and monitor deadlines.
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, angle gauges, and height gauges.
Perform work in accordance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Support 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace; follow time management practices to meet deadlines.
Collaborate with team members and internal customers to resolve production or quality issues.
Participate in training and complete forklift and overhead crane certification (provided in-house).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years of experience in a fabrication or job shop setting preferred.
Proficiency operating multiple types of fabrication machinery listed above.
Familiarity with ERP systems and basic data entry transactions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Sound problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
High attention to detail to ensure product quality and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work at a consistent pace in a setting with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
Certifications:
Must pass internal forklift and overhead crane certification program. Training provided.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and arms, and communicate clearly.
Occasionally required to sit, climb, kneel, stoop, or crawl.
Must regularly lift/move heavy items.
Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Exposure to metal chips, liquid coolants, moving parts, and airborne particles.
Conditions may be humid or hot during summer months.
Moderate to loud noise levels.
