We are seeking a motivated and quality-focused Assembly Technician to join our growing team. This role involves hands-on assembly work with electrical and mechanical components, using tools and equipment to produce high-quality products in compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate is self-directed, takes pride in their work, and enjoys solving problems in a team environment.
Duties:Including but not limited to:
Assemble cord reels, power reels, hose reels, and subassemblies from blueprints, pack slips, and verbal instructions
Operate tools and equipment such as cable counters, resistance welders, drill presses, saws, rivet guns, soldering equipment, heat guns, wire strippers, and presses
Use measurement devices such as tape measures, dial calipers, continuity testers, and high-pot testers
Perform visual and physical inspections of raw materials, purchased parts, and finished products to ensure quality standards
Maintain accurate records, including timecards, inspection sheets, and process documentation
Follow safety and quality procedures, including EHS and 5S systems
Keep equipment and work area clean, and perform routine maintenance on tools and machines
Transport and restock parts and materials as needed
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and uphold core values
Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in electrical or mechanical assembly preferred
Experience operating saws and drill presses (training provided if needed)
Ability to read blueprints is a plus
Must be able to use measurement devices accurately
High school diploma or GED required
Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills
Ability to lift and move heavy items and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Basic math and reasoning skills to follow written and verbal instructions
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Regular use of hand and power tools, frequent standing and sitting, occasional climbing, stooping, or kneeling
Ability to lift and move heavy items
Work occasionally around moving mechanical parts; noise level usually quiet
