We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager – Controls to support water and wastewater industry projects. This role is responsible for proposing the correct electrical equipment for a variety of applications, managing cost estimates and take-offs, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, contractors, and engineers. The ideal candidate will be technically skilled, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
 
Duties: Including but not limited to:
 
  • Select appropriate electrical equipment based on project requirements.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates, material take-offs, and customer quotes.
  • Create project scopes, proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Perform internet-based research to support technical decisions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and respond promptly to requests.
  • Serve as liaison between internal teams, contractors, engineers, and customers.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple deadlines, often under pressure.
  • Work independently while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and PDF platforms.
  • Comfortable using CAD software (preferred but not required).
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical documents.
  • Mechanically and electrically inclined.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater controls, including PLCs, programming, troubleshooting, VFDs, and process instrumentation (preferred).

  • Strategic thinking and strong attention to detail.
  • Customer service mindset with the ability to adapt to diverse situations and personalities.

Computer Skills:
 
  • Microsoft Excel for estimating and take-offs.
  • General computer literacy, with adaptability to new software tools.
  • Experience with shared documentation and organized digital workspaces.

Experience:
  • Background in estimating, inside sales, customer service, electrical troubleshooting, or project management.
  • Understanding of construction processes and technical project lifecycles.
  • Work experience in a related technical or industrial field.
Education:
 
  • Trade school certification in mechanical or electrical fields (preferred).
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Agricultural Systems Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Business Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
