We are seeking a Ready Mix Plant Dispatcher to support the daily operations of a ready mix plant. This role plays an important part in delivering materials for a wide variety of projects including roads, bridges, homes, commercial buildings, and more. The dispatcher will take customer orders, determine yardage, and coordinate concrete deliveries. This position requires ownership of quality checks, strong customer service, and teamwork in a family-oriented environment. 
 
Primary Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
 
  • Batch concrete using manual and computerized systems.
  • Prepare daily and weekly run schedules to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot issues in a dry batch concrete plant and with mixer trucks.
  • Take customer orders and determine yardage needs.
  • Schedule available trucks to align with order timelines.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members.
  • Order and coordinate deliveries from suppliers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of various ACI tests.
  • Follow supervisor direction and perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Complete required paperwork using tablets or cell phones, including pre-trip inspections, time
  • reporting, truck reports, trip tickets, and other accounting or timekeeping tasks.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.
  • Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts, projects, and assignments.
  • Maintain a team-oriented attitude with willingness to cross-train in dispatching, batching, mechanics, and related areas.
  • Perform additional duties outside the normal scope of work as this job description is not exhaustive.
 
Position Requirements
 
  • Previous experience or equivalent in a related field of expertise.
  • Well organized, with strong communication skills and an approachable demeanor.
  • Consent to a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
  • Class A or B CDL and current Medical DOT card.
  • ACI Level 1 certification.
  • Basic knowledge of concrete finishing problems and their causes.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dependability and reliability, with consistent on-time attendance and preparedness for work.
  • A positive attitude that supports productive working relationships with colleagues and management.
  • Ability to work in continuous exposure to weather conditions including heat, cold, noise, dust, and outdoor environments.
  • Overnight travel is not typical but may be required.
