We are seeking a skilled Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. This role works directly with end-users and company representatives to review applications for bulk material conveyance, produce equipment designs, and create pricing that meets customer-specific requirements. The Technical Sales Engineer uses technical and sales expertise to promote the company’s products and services, develop new business, and grow sales year after year.
 
Duties:
Including but not limited to:
 
  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide technical expertise to understand their unique needs and challenges with mechanical systems.
  • Provide onsite application recommendations and equipment startup support when requested.
  • Develop and propose customized mechanical solutions that align with client specifications, performance expectations, and budgets.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed technical proposals and quotes, clearly explaining the benefits of proposed solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for new products and market growth.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities and work toward meeting or exceeding sales targets to drive revenue growth. Plan and execute monthly travel to meet with company representatives, end-users, and Engineering
  • Procurement-Construction (EPC) firms on project opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production and sales personnel, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Document and produce weekly reports on the status of all quotations, contacting buyers, engineers, and company representatives to track pricing, project timelines, and competitive advantages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in mechanical equipment sales preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with bulk material conveyance equipment and applications a plus.
