The Product Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing one or more Stellar Industries product lines from concept through the full product lifecycle. This role ensures product success by aligning development efforts with market demands and company goals.

 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Product Management:
  • Develop product strategy, including R&D needs and manufacturing coordination
  • Manage product development, release timelines, and ongoing lifecycle performance
  • Provide technical training and expertise across departments
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to define product scope and opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, marketing, and operations to define and refine products
  • Maintain prioritized lists of customer and market requirements
  • Coordinate product marketing, sales plans, and engineering/financial integration
  • Justify product selection with financial and technical data
  • Define product objectives and schedules for development and market release
  • Identify market trends and track developments within the industry
  • Analyze competitors and create comparative materials
  • Explore third-party partnerships to expand product offerings
  • Support sales efforts with training and materials
  • Monitor product data (technical, financial, sales, and schedule)
  • Track product metrics and implement performance improvements
  • Contribute to annual and long-term sales forecasting
  • Align with Sales and Marketing to ensure brand consistency and sales growth
  • Recommend and help implement enhancements to the product development process
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and competitive activity
  • Identify threats and opportunities for strategic growth
Education and Skills:
 
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) preferred; or 1–2 years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong math and numerical analysis abilities
  • Proven experience in product management, sales, marketing, or engineering
  • Solid technical understanding or hands-on experience with machinery and related technology
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work across multiple levels of an organization
  • Understanding and application of company policies and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Basic understanding of algebra and applied mathematics
  • Familiarity with enterprise software or ability to learn internal systems
Travel Requirements:
 
  • Occasional overnight travel by car or air, including weekends for trade shows and sales needsValid driver’s license required; CDL or ability to obtain CDL is a plus
