Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at our client’s Nashville, TN office, working standard business hours (7–4 or 8–5) alongside a collaborative, close-knit team.

Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have proven accounting experience and be proficient in Sage accounting software.

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for residential construction projects.
  • Maintain accurate job cost tracking, budget-to-actual reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and draw requests.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly and year-end financial reports.
  • Enter budgets and project data into Sage; ensure coding accuracy and documentation compliance.
  • Support leadership with project financial insights and reporting needs.
  • Handle bank deposits, vendor setup, and insurance/W9 tracking.
  • Collaborate with project management and architecture teams for purchasing and cost monitoring.
  • Assist with residential closing documentation and posting HUD statements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software (Sage 300 CRE or similar) is required.
  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience (construction experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative, small-team setting.
  • Local candidates preferred; familiarity with Nashville’s municipal processes is a plus.
