Position DescriptionThe Professional Services Manager is responsible for the recruiting, management and career development of the professional services staff.Primary Objectives and ResponsibilitiesBuild out a professional services organization, in conjunction with a portfolio of service offerings to complement  practice. The activities include, but not limited to:- Recruitment of business consulting and technical consulting staff. These roles will be responsible for both the delivery of professional services and providing customer support to Machine Automation / IIoT customers- Defining the portfolio of service offerings to support the Machine Automation / IIoT practice- Meeting and/or exceeding annual revenue targets for Professional Services revenue attainment set for the business unit.- Drive Services and Sales co-agenda in relation to winning new business and growing existing clients’ revenue and loyalty while ensuring appropriately skilled capacity is in place to support achievement of sales objectives- Partner with Sales to actively participating in discoveries, implementation presentations, developing and presenting Service’s proposals and statement of works- Translate companies vision and Professional Services objectives and initiatives into tangible, executable plans for staff- Responsible for the continual improvement of procedures, processes, and overall infrastructure within the respective Professional Services teams- Focus on improving Customer Satisfaction by assuring quality, increasing efficiency, reducing risk, delivering stability, enabling services scalability- Ensure the effective planning and management of resources both internally and sub-contractors- Communicates upwards with frequency and accuracy to the Executive Team, providing progress reports, recommendations for change, detailed analysis of issues or matters that could likely result in a material impact to the company or revenue/expense budgets- Develops and oversees the departmental metrics as well as keeping the organization on budget- Design, communicate and enforce methodologies, tools, policies and practices to support the timely, cost-effective delivery of projects- Conduct post-implementation reviews of consultant staff performance to obtain feedback, lessons learned, and incorporate enhancements into the overall implementation methodology- Incorporate effective change strategies and risk management controls.- Project collaboration for enhancing knowledge capture and re-use- Maintain industry/technical knowledge base and facilitate/maintain industry relationships- Develops and executes (with Marketing) campaigns to generate interest and demand for Machine Automation / IIoT services.- Development of Service Engagement Contracts including Engagement Authorizations and Statement of Works- Develop relationships with other Infor Channel Partners and Infor consulting services
- Ensure Service Rates are maintained with every project- Day-to-day management of staff, on-going career development of staff- Fosters strong working relationships with company executives and managers to meet company objectives and develop efficient and effective cross-functional relationships among core teams throughout the company- Work with the HR to formulate and execute effective recruitment campaigns- Participate in talent development activities for consultant staff:o Professional Planning and Business Reviewso Professional Growth and Enrichment programsSuccess Criteria1. Meeting and exceeding the Professional Services Monthly Revenue quotas2. Maintain an average utilization as set by management across the Professional Services Organization - calculated as Hours Billed/Available3. Developing and delivering service campaigns to ensure meeting of Service sales quota4. Successfully represent Machine Automation / IIoT Professional Services Project and Implementation Methodologies, Staff Expertise and Syteline Expertise to client base5. Building and maintaining relationships with Channel Partners, Infor ICS, etc. in support of generating service revenue outside of customer base.6. Development and maintenance of relevant technical and industry expertise.7. At least 50% travel will be requiredExperience and Knowledge Requirements1. At least 5 years working experience implementing IIoT solutions.2. Minimum of 7+ years working experience in Professional Services. Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes is a must3. Working with / for Consultancies that specialize in Project Management, Deployment and/or support of software-related products or services is a plus4. Experience in Manufacturing and Distribution5. Understanding of IT applications in several industry verticals will be a significant plus.Education and Professional Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Production and Operations Management or related field or commensurate experience- Industry Certifications such as PMI, APICS and Manufacturing specific accreditations.
