ATHENA is currently seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to expand our clients presence in the fintech sector. This position is on site in Miami, FL with a potential total compensation of $150k! ($75k base + commission)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Management – Establish and strengthen relationships with brokers, lenders, and financial partners to drive business growth and expand market presence.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth – Develop and execute sales strategies focused on acquiring new business, securing funding deals, and increasing revenue.
  • Lead Generation & Business Development – Identify and engage new opportunities through networking, outbound efforts, and industry events to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy – Stay informed about trends in alternative lending, financial technology, and funding solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation – Utilize strong financial acumen and sales expertise to structure and close profitable funding agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Track key metrics, analyze sales performance, and provide strategic insights to optimize business development efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Industry Experience – 3-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within financial services, fintech, alternative lending, or a related sector.
  • Broker & Lending Networks – Established relationships with brokers and financial partners, with a track record of driving deal flow.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills – Proven ability to close high-value deals, exceed revenue targets, and negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Financial Product Knowledge – Strong understanding of alternative lending models, financial products, and industry regulations.
  • Networking & Relationship Building – Ability to develop long-term partnerships and leverage connections to drive business growth.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills – Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with confidence in presenting solutions to clients and stakeholders.
  • Education – A degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with significant industry experience.
