Seeking a highly skilled SME Network Engineer with expertise in airborne networking, SATCOM backhaul, and mission-critical IP networks to support Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs. This role will focus on the design, integration, security, and validation of advanced networking solutions for secure, resilient, and high-performance communications systems. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in routing | switching, RF | mesh networking, SATCOM, and cross-domain security solutions, with strong technical leadership capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
8+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on DoD | IC mission-critical IP networks.
Active TS | SCI clearance required.
Strong expertise in:- Routing & Switching (Layer 2/3) - Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent.- SATCOM backhaul and RF | mesh networking architectures.- NSA Type-1 crypto devices and secure communications.- Multi-level security (MLS) architectures and cross-domain solutions.
Proficiency with network test & validation tools (e.g., Spirent, IXIA, Wireshark).
Experience with automation & scripting tools such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
Knowledge of DoD | IC networking standards, policies, and mission systems.
U.S. Citizenship required.
This role will sit ONSITE out of Dayton, OH.
