One of New Jersey’s top-ranked law firms is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support its litigation department. This role involves various administrative duties essential to the smooth operation of the department.

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of experience, including a background in litigation. A strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment are critical for success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate work assignments and manage litigation-related tasks.
  • Prepare and format legal correspondence and documents with precision.
  • Transcribe digital dictation and organize files and records efficiently.
  • Perform e-filing in New Jersey and New York courts (preferred).
  • Interact professionally and effectively with attorneys and clients.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a legal assistant role, including litigation support.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong knowledge of office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and PDF tools.
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Proven ability to manage and maintain accurate records and files.
    • Exceptional organizational abilities to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ensuring clarity and professionalism in correspondence.
  • E-Filing Expertise:
    • Experience with e-filing systems in New Jersey and New York is highly preferred.
