We are looking for a knowledgeable and innovative R&D Formulator to join our client’s team and lead the development of cutting-edge natural health products. In this role, you will be responsible for formulating, testing, and refining products using natural ingredients, ensuring they meet safety, efficacy, quality, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring health-focused products from concept to market.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n· Research, develop, and optimize formulas for natural health products, including supplements, topicals, capsules, powders, tablets, and functional wellness solutions.
\n· Evaluate and select natural raw materials based on functionality, safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
\n· Conduct lab testing on raw materials, prototypes, and final products for stability, efficacy, and quality assurance.
\n· Maintain thorough documentation of formulations, test results, and technical data for internal and regulatory use.
\n· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Production during all stages of product development.
\n· Ensure all formulations comply with relevant health regulations and guidelines (e.g., Health Canada, FDA, GMP, NSF).
\n· Stay current with emerging trends in natural health, functional ingredients, and consumer wellness needs.
\nQualifications:
\n· Bachelor’s degree in Natural Health, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
\n· 2+ years of experience in formulation development for natural health or wellness products.
\n· Strong knowledge of natural ingredients, botanical extracts, nutraceuticals, and supplement formulation.
\n· Experience working in a regulated environment with knowledge of relevant guidelines (e.g., NPN submissions, FDA DSHEA, GMP).
\n· Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
\n· Passion for health, wellness, and natural product innovation.
