Our CRO client provides essential  toxicology and laboratory testing services to worldwide biopharmaceutical organizations developing new molecules. vaccines, medical devices, drugs. They require a Senior Director / VP Toxicology Operations to join CRO senior management, and to be responsible for the work of ~ 150 specialists, including at least 2 Directors, study directors, technicians, managers, team leads. 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee management of all operational areas and laboratories.
• Responsible for GLP toxicology, pharmacology, agrochemical, chemical, safety, pharmaceutical testing.
• Animal health, necropsy, clinical pathology, histology.
• Guide and offer technical support to specialists at all levels.
• Lead animal care committee, literate re current publications on animal practices, drug development.
• Set clear goals and objectives, mentor, and perform annual staff evaluations. 
• Identify and predict staffing requirements and help out with recruitment.
• Budgets, documentation, client liaison activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MS or PhD in life sciences combined with > 15 years within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Strongly prefer acknowledged leader in the CRO industry.
• Visionary, leading above mentioned operational groups toward future growth and development.
• French English bilingual essential.
• GLP background.
• Toxicology experience essential.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Experience in work optimization within large groups is an asset.
• Staff management, coaching, mentoring.
