Our client is a Tier 1 automotive supplier, specializing in providing exterior components to major OEMs. 

They are seeking a Paint Engineer for their plant in Upstate, SC. 

Tasks:  

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within paint lines to maintain operational consistency. 

• Assist in new program launches by enhancing paint application processes, including racking setups. 

• Conduct comprehensive process audits to ensure paint application methods meet high-quality standards. 

• Collaborate with customers to address and fulfill technical paint application requirements. 

• Research and propose innovative paint application techniques to stay competitive in the industry. 

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives for paint processes within the facility. 

• Develop and refine paint application processes to maximize efficiency and quality. 

• Promote customer satisfaction and operational success by providing support across teams as needed. 

• Maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards, as well as company policies. 

Requirements: 

• 3+ years of experience in paint application systems or a similar technical area. 

• Associate’s degree, or equivalent in a related technical field; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. 

• Strong ability to collaborate with teams and motivate others without direct authority. 

• Proven capacity to perform well under pressure while managing competing priorities. 

• Familiarity with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards and policies. 

• Solid financial and business acumen to support decision-making and process improvements. 

• Ability to travel to various locations, including Canada, Alabama, and Mexico.
