We are seeking commercial laundry equipment experienced candidates for a Field Service Technician role with a growing company that services commercial laundry (linen service or uniform service plant) equipment for clients in the Chicagoland area.

*INDUSTRIAL LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED*

The territory: Chicagoland, Northern Indiana and Western Michigan

Job Summary:The Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing and maintaining industrial textile processing equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, folding equipment, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customers' locations to perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting of existing equipment and installation of new industrial laundry equipment to ensure top product performance
  • Diagnose problems, assess the extent of the problem, document findings, make decisions to repair the product and/or replace parts

  • Immediately and accurately process paperwork and perform data entry upon completion of each job
  • Quick responses, timely solutions, and excellent customer service.
  • Maintaining a stock of parts in your company vehicle so you’re always prepared to provide a quick solution, and caring for your vehicle as if it were your own.
  • Communicate effectively with service manager, parts department, and customers to facilitate accurate work product

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in industrial/heavy manufacturing equipment repair, preferably with commercial laundry equipment
  • Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls, rebuild pumps, valves and fundamental understanding of plumbing
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong electrical/mechanical ability
    • Use Multimeter
    • Read wiring diagrams
    • Strong troubleshooting ability
  • Professional demeanor
  • Able to lift 50 – 100 Lbs.
  • Hours expected: 40-50 hours per week
