COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, an AmLaw 100 and Vault 100 law firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its thriving Portland office. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team of accomplished litigators on high-stakes matters across various industries.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in Oregon; (Washington and/or California Bar admission is a plus).

  • 3–5 years of substantive commercial litigation experience at a mid-size or large law firm.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Strong case management abilities, with experience handling matters from inception to resolution.

  • Experience drafting and arguing motions, including dispositive and discovery motions.

  • Proficiency in taking and defending depositions and assisting in trials and appeals.

  • A detail-oriented, proactive, and team-driven mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in complex commercial litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels.

  • Work with a diverse client base, including local, national, and international businesses.

  • Draft persuasive legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.

  • Conduct depositions, argue motions, and participate in hearings and trials.

  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop effective litigation strategies.

  • Engage in client counseling and business development opportunities.
