Job Summary:

Our client, a leader in commercial laundry and textile services, is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee daily plant operations, production, and distribution while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. This is a high-impact leadership role with a clear path for career advancement to General Manager for the right candidate. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure operational efficiency, team performance, and financial success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing all plant operations, including production, distribution, and facility maintenance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and industry safety regulations.
• Develop and track KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
• Manage production managers, supervisors, and plant employees, ensuring accountability and performance.
• Hire, train, and develop future leaders within the facility.
• Foster a positive team culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
• Assist the General Manager with budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Monitor operational expenses, labor costs, and material usage to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Track profit and loss (P&L) performance and implement strategies to improve financial outcomes.
• Ensure timely deliveries and high-quality products to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Work with sales and service teams to support customer retention and account management.
• Partner with corporate leadership to execute company initiatives and business objectives.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in plant or operations management within a production, distribution, or textile services industry.
• Prior experience in industrial laundry, textile rental, or high-volume production is preferred.
• Strong background in process improvement, safety, and quality control.
• Experience managing large teams and fostering team development and accountability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience managing KPIs and financial performance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
