Location: Onalaska/La Crosse-WI:

The role of truss designer involves specialized work in the preparation and development of roof and floor truss designs.

The Truss Designer must be able to read and understand architectural plans and be able to generate clear, complete, accurate, and detailed layouts based on project plans.

Responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Design of roof and floor trusses in engineering software.
• Interact with the sales department regarding the scope of work.
• Specify all necessary supplied hardware, beams, and other components as needed.
• Communicate with engineers, architects and contractors during construction projects.
• Provide layouts on jobs in a timely manner.
• Keep up to date on current Build codes associated with truss design.
• Work as a team player - collaboratively with varying levels of staff to achieve goals.

Qualifications of the ideal candidate include, but are not limited to, the following:

• 2-3+ years of experience designing trusses.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience.
• Experience with Alpine Software a Plus.
• Anticipate, identify, and solve problems when needed.
• Microsoft Office and/or G Suite, Auto CAD, Solid Works etc.
• Take initiative and be a positive person.
• Detail-oriented.
• Must be able to pass background and drug testing.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year + Overtime and Company Bonuses:
