Senior Network Engineer

Job Description:

• Responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, and operation of the enterprise-wide network and related infrastructure.

• High level support in networking technology, including Cisco and Cisco Meraki.

• HP router, switches, firewalls, wireless, and VOIP.

• Work with IT-Team and business groups on network projects.

• Root cause problem elimination, and capacity planning of corporate network infrastructure.

• Mentor technicians from different groups to work together and resolve outages.

• Minimum Travel, able to lift 50 Lbs.

  Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience working in a highly available network environment

  • Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • LAN/WAN network routing protocols, including HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.

  • Layer 2 Switching: Including VLAN’s, spanning tree, and QOS.

  • Visio and completing network diagrams.

  • Security best practices.

  • Great personal skills, including teamwork and negotiation skills.

  • Be a value leader and resource to our end-user community.

  • Azure networking a plus.

    Education:

  • Computer Science Degree or 4 years comparable experience

  • CCNA or CCNP preferred.

  • VOIP a plus

  • ITIL 4 or above a plus

  • Comp TIA Security + Certification
