Assistant Manager:

Oversees and directs all aspects of restaurant operations and runs the kitchen operations and reports to the General Manager, including the works within the operational budgets, achieving sales and profit levels, maintenance of the theme format and commitment to the company’s standards of excellence.  Ensures food quality, guest service and satisfaction and restaurant cleanliness.  Responsible for ensuring all company standard operating practices and absolutes are adhered to, for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and talent management, at assigned location.  May also perform ad hoc duties including, but not limited to, answering the phone, bussing tables, line cooking, serving, table visits, expediting orders or running food.  Serves as a role model for restaurant team members of the attitudes and behavior expected of all team members.  Acts as an ambassador of the brand.  Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 2+ years previous restaurant management experience preferred

CATERING AND TOGO EXPERIENCE IS CRITICAL AND A HUGE BENEFIT

SPANISH IS A HUGE BENEFIT TO SUCCESS

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATION:

  • Must possess a valid driver license
  • Good people management skills, communication and listening skills required
  • Must be internally motivated and detail orientated with a passion for the Brand and for teaching others
  • Ability to quickly grasp and retain new ideas and concepts and incorporate them into daily work activities, required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others (i.e. team members, guest, vendors, etc.) required
  • Demonstrate time management and organizational skills, required
  • Superior guest service, communication and listening skills, required
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change, required
  • Works a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, required
  • NRA ServSafe Manager certification, required
  •  
  • Working knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, alcohol safety, safety security systems and procedures and computer operations, required

Travel

Up to 15%.  May deliver full service catering and to attend meetings and training sessions.
