POSITION: Vice President of Business Transformation, Integration, and IT

DIRECT REPORTS: 3-5

REPORTS TO: CEO

TRAVEL: 30% seasonally

 

Position Overview

 

The Vice President of Business Transformation will be responsible for deploying a Lean Business System across the entire enterprise, including field operations and transactional process improvement. This is a strategic executive role responsible for leading the company's transformation initiatives, overseeing integration processes (including mergers and acquisitions), and strategically managing the Information Technology (IT) function. This leader will drive operational excellence, ensure seamless integration of new business entities, leverage technology to support and enhance business objectives, and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and technological acumen to propel the company toward sustained growth and competitiveness.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Leading the implementation of Continuous Improvement methodologies across all business units to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Senior Executive team to develop and execute a comprehensive business transformation strategy
  • Establishing and promoting standardized processes and best practices to ensure consistency and operational excellence throughout the organization
  • Overseeing the creation and delivery of training programs to educate employees on Lean Business System principles, fostering a culture of learning and development
  • Defining and monitoring KPIs to measure the effectiveness of transformation initiatives
  • Engaging with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gain alignment and support for Lean deployment
  • Engaging on the diligence teams for companies targeted for acquisitions
  • Developing detailed standard work and integration plans addressing operational, financial, technological, and cultural aspects
  • Leading the integration of acquired companies, ensuring alignment with organizational culture, processes, systems, and the Lean Business System
  • Collaborating with all departments to harmonize procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Identifying potential risks during integration and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on business continuity
  • Crafting and executing a strategy with IT leadership that supports the Lean Business System and company’s overall objective
  • Leveraging IT solutions to support the Lean Business System, ensuring technology enables and enhances business processes
  • Driving digital initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, data analytics, and customer engagement
  • Supporting the needs of the Continuous Improvement Business System by ensuring compliance, data governance, and security
  • Overseeing budgets related to transformation projects, integration activities, etc.; identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities
  • Fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture through coaching and mentorship; promoting an inclusive work environment
  • Providing regular updates on financial performance to the executive team

 

Education, Experience, and Key Skills

 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; MBA or Masters preferred  
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Lean Business System deployment in technology, manufacturing, and/or service industries
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale transformation
  • Experience with implementing a Lean Business System including 6S, Visual Management, One Piece Flow, Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, A3/problem solving, Kanban, Total Preventive Maintenance, Kaizen events, and Leader Standard Work
  • Experience with M&A and integration activities preferred
  • Experience linking the Lean Business System to Information Technology, including systems implementation and strategic planning
  • Ability to teach and connect with associates at all levels of the organization. Prior experience building “a capable army” of lean practitioners who can recognize and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change; strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent problem solving and training/development skills
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills

 

Location and Compensation

 

  • Role is located in Westminster, CO with a hybrid-remote structure allowing for remote work on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday through Thursday
  • Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary and an annual performance bonus, long term incentives, and other benefits and perquisites
