Vice President of Corporate Operating System

 

POSITION:  Corporate Vice President, Operating System

JOB LOCATION:  Denver, CO or Remote with heavy travel

 

Position Overview

 

The Corporate Vice President of the company's Operating System will implement the company’s business system across the multiple business units. They will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally and with the leadership team to ensure successful implementation while being a driver of culture change. The right candidate will have experience in Lean tools and implementation across the Growth/Commercial side of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

·       Provide thought leadership, strategic direction, and tactical implementation leadership and support for the further development and advancement of the business system

·       Collaborate with the CEO and Board of Directors on strategic initiatives, talent review and overall talent development

·       Build and maintain a culture of continuous operational improvement that permeates all areas of the company

·       Planning, facilitating, implementing, and sustaining Lean tools and culture across the business units

·       Developing leaders’ skills through coaching and mentoring; supporting training and education of manufacturing and other functional teams in the application of Lean/CI tools

·       Identifying cross-functional improvement opportunities to challenge the status quo and guide leadership team

·       Supporting Strategy Deployment facilitation and resulting action plans, operational KPIs, and effective root cause countermeasures

 

Education and Experience

 

·       Bachelor’s Degree in the preferred areas of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering. MBA preferred.

·       A minimum of 10 years of operational and commercial leadership experience in an organization with a world-class operating system required. Experience in an operations role (e.g. manufacturing engineering, production leadership) is preferred

·       Demonstrated expertise in lean tools and methodologies

·       Strong interpersonal, leadership, influencing, and communication skills

·       Ability to engage with all levels of the organization globally, including training of peers as well as executives

·       Strong business and financial acumen including P&L knowledge/experience

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills; general computer skills and knowledge
