PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for identifying and completing projects involving safety, quality, delivery and productivity that delivers sustained improvements in a dynamically changing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Review customer requirements and design. Modify and implement process improvement opportunities.- Develop and update plant layouts, manufacturing processes, and work instructions.- Compile cost estimates.- Identify and drive lean continuous improvement activities.- Create and read blue prints, process drawings, and work instructions.- Review and establish the most efficient processes to manufacture sheet-metal products.- Research and resolve issues during manufacturing.- Coordinate with all departments to produce quality parts.- High performance in problem solving and innovation.- Maintain a safe work environment through good housekeeping practices.- All other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficiency with CAD software applications (SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD preferred)- Problem analysis with root cause and corrective/preventive action techniques- Project management and cost effective implementation skills- Process work flow and line balancing in a multi-process manufacturing environment- Product launch activities including APQP, PPAP, and new process development- Financial analysis skills for product cost estimating and development of manufacturing costs- IATF 16949 quality systems familiarity in a manufacturing environment

REQUIREMENTS

- BS in Engineering or other technical degree is preferred.- 3 years minimum experience preferred in the fabrication, assembly, welding, forming, laser cutting, automation, and finishing of metal parts.
