Job description

Responsible for projects received for quoting following through to shipping. Research, design, evaluate, install and operate new equipment, mechanical system based on the requirements.

  • Establish processes to produce Quality parts on time in an Efficient Manner.
  • Lead product development activities such as prototyping, testing and pilot builds.
  • Responsible for creating manufacturing prints, work instructions, 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo CAD packages.
  • Understand manufacturing processes as well as product requirements to ensure the design and process flow meets necessary standards.
  • Experience with APQP, NPI and provide technical expertise to assist factory troubleshooting of quality and manufacturing issues.
  • Confer with Engineers and other personnel to implement new product launches with optimal flow, resolve system malfunctions or provide technical information.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles, Perform high level of tolerance stack up calculations with the use of GD&T.
  • Support and adhere to policies, procedures and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (TS16949).
  • Participate in the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Responsible for providing production costs estimates, cost savings and the effects of design changes for manufacturability with customers.
  • Programming knowledge of Robots, Lasers, Turrets, Robots and vision inspection systems is preferred.
  • Specify manufacturing components or direct modification of products/machines to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.

Will accept a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 12 months experience, foreign equivalent accepted, 40 Hours a week

Experience:

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
