Field Installation Superintendent or Field Installation Coordinator
Pay rate is flexible depending on experience.
Direct supervision of 7+ field installation team members
Lead and coordinate on-site installation activities of door devices and control systems in detention facilities, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Visit jobsites and ensure the team is working in a professional and efficient manner, as well as coordinating subcontractors at these sites. This may involve visiting multiple jobsites in a week.
Serve as a technical resource to all installation team members, troubleshooting difficult problems, and mentoring technicians in installation best practices.
Support technicians in all aspects of installation.
Position involves installation, troubleshooting, and coordination of:
Electric and mechanical door locking systems
Relay logic and PLC based control systems (no programming required)
Detention hardware: hinges, glass, etc.
Door and frame installation
Qualifications
Demonstrated success in safely completing on-site installations with efficiency
Extensive travel (80% of the time) and work at various locations across the US. Travel may requires being at the jobsite for up to 3 weeks at a time before a return trip home.
5 years of experience in field installation and job-site coordination or similar roles
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems with job-site fabrication of solutions/repairs
Understanding of AC and DC electrical circuitry and relay controls wiring
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently
Competent in welding, primarily wire feed
Effective professional communication skills
Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering specifications
