Role Description

We are looking for a top-level, results-driven Executive Sales Leader for our growing US East Coast sales team. You will be responsible for continuing to expand the existing customer pipeline in the Energy/Utility sector, focusing on the East Coast of America. This is an exciting opportunity to generate and close opportunities, drive relationships within the sector, and be an integral part of the team.

As the East Coast Sales Lead, you will be responsible for driving significant new revenue growth, meeting or exceeding revenue targets, and continuing to grow and mature a pipeline for our services and products within the East Coast region. The right candidate will be experienced in the industry, ideally in grid software/power system services, a well-connected local market expert with an extensive list of C-suite contacts, possess knowledge of key partners, and have an acceptable level of proficiency in power systems.

Qualifications

  • Drive material revenue growth by growing and developing a pipeline of utility customers and opportunities.
  • Implement, lead, and deliver our sales strategy in accordance with company targets.
  • Develop and strengthen commercial relationships with sales channels, local partners, TSOs, DNOs, and energy traders to further the company’s involvement.
  • Manage business development with senior utility leaders (C-Level to VP and Director level across operations, planning, and procurement).
  • Own and build a material sales pipeline for new and existing customers.
  • Provide up-to-date, accurate, and insightful sales reporting to the leadership team.
  • Be customer success-obsessed and act as the liaison between new/existing customers and product development.
  • Ascertain customer needs and discuss how their needs could be met.
  • Provide feedback to the products team.
  • Deep knowledge and credibility in renewable integration related key issues on grid stability for electric utilities.
  • Knowledge of grid software portfolio and grid automation portfolio for both transmission and distribution markets.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Proven ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to successfully drive sales opportunities from plan to close.
  • Can build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer needs and how our global services and product portfolio can provide value.
  • Solutions-driven mindset with the ability to map the right solutions to help customers solve problems and reach their goals.
  • Attend industry conferences.
  • Be prepared to undertake national and international travel.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Ideally, educated to degree level (or equivalent) in related technical disciplines (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Power Systems, Electronics, etc.).
  • 5+ years working in a sales role within the US transmission/distribution (T&D) sector.
  • Hunter mindset with solid connections at a senior level, plus strong negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in Salesforce.
  • Measurable track record of delivering commercially and consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrate ability to think creatively and commercially.
  • Enthusiastic team player with strong analytical skills.
  • Can-do attitude and proven adaptability.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter. Experience in a startup/scale-up environment would be a bonus.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
