Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead the implementation of solar PV, battery storage, and microgrid systems.
- Create comprehensive construction drawing sets, including single-line and three-line diagrams, adhering to NEC, IEEE, and utility standards.
- Conduct interconnection studies and dynamic system modeling.
- Perform power system studies such as load flow, arc flash, and short circuit analysis.
- Conduct site assessments and optimize equipment placement.
- Manage vendor relationships and integrate distributed energy resources.
- Collaborate with clients, utilities, and contractors to solve design challenges.
- Prepare technical reports and proposals, translating complex solutions into clear insights.
- Ensure compliance with all safety codes and jurisdictional regulations.
Qualifications
- California PE License (Required).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in power distribution or DER systems.
- Expertise in solar PV, energy storage, EV infrastructure, or microgrids.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and utility interconnection standards.
- Proficiency in modeling tools like ETAP or SKM.
- Experience with BOMs, equipment specifications, and routing plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Outstanding communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
