Business Development Manager for USA and Canada
Asphalt Paving & Roofing Additives

Our ideal Candidate brings insight to, and experiences in, the supply chains, market trends, and field applications of asphalt paving and roofing industries across North America. A strong technical background provides you with the foundation for investigating and attacking opportunities across industries and up and down supply chains as well as unique State & Provincial specifications. Superb communication skills, both verbally and in all media, will be required to effectively gather information and present proposals to key stakeholders.
 
Since significant travel will be required as you escalate analysis to face-to face meetings and site visits, this can be a WFH role with occasional requirements to attend meetings at HQ in SW Ontario. Please note that while our client is Ontario-based, this is a North American BD role, and candidates can be located in either Canada or USA as some travel is expected.
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the asphalt paving and roofing industry is required.
  • Knowledge of, and contacts within, NA Asphalt Roofing & Paving markets.
  • Prior experience developing and executing Go-To-Market strategies.
  • Analytical, poised, and professional.
  • Strong and demonstrated communication skills.
  • Able and willing to travel to nurture prospects into customers.
  • Possession of a valid license.

It will add the talents of a Business Development Manager to concentrate on North American market analysis, researching multi-layer industry-specific regulations & specifications, competitor assessment, and then developing effective Go-To-Market strategies. We will expect the BD Manager to transition from "Market Researcher" to developing & nurturing Sales relationships with prospects in Government, Contractor, and Commercial markets.
