We are excited to present an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join a cutting-edge autonomous systems development project in Tampa. This project focuses on creating and deploying systems with advanced autonomous decision-making capabilities, integrating both internal and external sensor data.

Role Overview:

The RTE will be central to leading an Agile Release Train (ART) that includes diverse teams from both government and vendor sectors. The role demands expertise in agile coaching, facilitating agile processes, managing risks, and ensuring the delivery of mission-critical value. You will be responsible for planning incremental improvements and releases that align with both stakeholder and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the Agile Release Train (ART) processes, managing risks and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate and oversee capability releases and program increment (PI) performance to guide successful delivery.
  • Conduct PI Planning events, ensuring all teams on the ART are aligned with a shared mission and vision.
  • Adapt and implement SAFe practices tailored to the organization’s specific needs.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across teams and the ART.
  • Establish and enhance SAFe principles by implementing program-level Agile practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ART efficiency for enhanced value delivery to end-users.
  • Lead transformation efforts with the ART’s Lean Agile Center of Excellence, provide agile coaching, and evolve performance using metrics.
  • Bridge communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience as a Release Train Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Active SECRET security clearance is mandatory.

Highly Desired:

  • Strong understanding of DoD processes and military operations.
  • Experience in leading multi-vendor integration efforts within the DoD.
  • Background in a customer-facing or consulting capacity.
  • Experience as a Systems or Software Engineer.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
