Reporting to the Mine Controller, the Supply Chain Superintendent manages the overall Supply Chain and Logistics functions to maximize efficiency and minimize costs to the Company.
 
Responsibilities:
 
● Create Supply Chain management strategies that increase efficiency and accuracy and that are consistent with The Company’s policies
● Manages a team of direct reports and is responsible for employee selection, development, mentoring, and performance management. Responsible for driving an environment of EHS stewardship, high performance, and ethical and legal compliance including addressing employee relations issues
● Communicate with other staff in a clear, concise, and businesslike manner, verbally and in Word/Excel to apprise them of the facts in a given situation
● Manage Supply Chain systems associated with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
● Creates/updates/maintains the inventory parts master to ensure optimal stock maintained
● Creates/updates/maintains vendor master including full set up of new vendors
● Manages and monitors vendor's qualifications and performance to ensure they meet the company's requirements
● Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets
● Develop long-range goals and objectives based on current business analysis of vendor performance
● Build/Manage relationships within the company and with external parties, such as contractors, suppliers, or distributors consistent with the company’s policies and goals
● Oversee and undertake a robust RFx process, coordinating with end users to ensure optimal Total Cost of Ownership
● Draft, evaluate, negotiate, execute, and facilitate the contract management process
● In conjunction with the end user, monitor and complete contract close-out, extension, or renewal including maintaining contract filing records
● Serves as subject matter expert for Supply Chain processes and policy interpretation
● Perform effective planning to ensure end-user requirements are met in a timely manner
● Coordinate with Project/Construction Managers and Scheduler to ensure critical path is met by verifying lead times and availability Apply business acumen, contracting knowledge, and research       skills to solve problems
● Document complete procurement process undertaken from end user technical requirements through final contract execution using Microsoft Office and the ERP
● Track and report procurement lead times and expenditure trends, analyze and provide strategies for efficiencies
● Advise project management team on contractual issues and assist with resolution as needed
● Assist with monthly cost reporting and forecasting as requested
● Create and provide relevant monthly reports on stock level,
 
Qualifications
 
Minimum 5 years as Supply Chain Lead in mining or manufacturing in a time-sensitive environment
Previous experience undertaking a robust RFx/Contracts process
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering preferred
Proficient in the use of ERP systems and sound knowledge of the underlying functions.
Intermediate in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products
Ability to organize and effectively balance multiple priorities
Excellent communication and organization skills
 
Additional Requirements:
 
Must have a valid Drivers’ License
Good verbal and writing skills including the ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Strong time management and organizational skills
Successfully interact with a wide variety of individuals in a team environment to achieve completion of the construction projects.
