We are looking for a skilled Health and Safety Specialist to enhance our team in North York, ON. This critical role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance across our operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong commitment to fostering a culture of safety and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Health & Safety Coordinator and promote a safety-first environment.
  • Ensure adherence to OHSA, WSIB, CSA, and MOL regulations, maintaining compliance at all times.
  • Conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and implement corrective measures efficiently.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
  • Organize and deliver safety training sessions while actively engaging with employees on-site.
  • Monitor essential safety metrics and prepare reports for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
  • Certifications in WHMIS, First Aid, and CPR are mandatory; CRSP or CHSC is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized, and capable of independent work.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
