The General Manager, B2C Payment Solutions, will be responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and operational success of a leading cloud-based business-to-consumer disbursement platform. This platform enables companies across various sectors—including higher education, business services, healthcare, and government—to efficiently disburse funds to end-users in electronic forms. The GM will lead efforts to expand the solution into new sectors, ensuring product scalability and driving adoption across a diverse customer base. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital payment technologies, regulatory requirements, and market trends. The ideal candidate will focus on offering flexible payment options that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline operations, and drive growth in a digitally evolving world.
What You Will Do:
Lead the development and execution of strategies to expand the B2C payment platform into new sectors such as higher education, business services, healthcare, government, and more.
Oversee the product’s ability to offer flexible payment options, including prepaid cards and closed-loop cards from major retailers. Focus on delivering solutions that enhance the payer and payee experience.
Collaborate closely with leaders across Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Marketing, Operations, and Sales to ensure the successful deployment and operation of the payment platform. Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance the product’s value proposition.
Serve as the primary advocate for the payment platform, promoting its benefits to SMBs, Mid-Market, and large Enterprise customers. Position the solution as a market leader in business-to-consumer payments.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the B2C payment platform, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Ensure that the platform meets all industry standards and is capable of supporting rapid growth.
Ensure the platform complies with all relevant federal and state regulations, including OFAC requirements. Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to integrate necessary safeguards into the product architecture.
Oversee the financial performance of the B2C payment platform, managing the P&L, setting financial targets, and driving profitability. Implement cost management strategies to meet business goals.
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
What You Bring:
10+ years of experience in disbursements, with a strong focus on B2C payment solutions.
Proven experience in developing and managing cloud-based platforms and digital disbursements.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, including OFAC, and experience integrating compliance into product design.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on driving results.
Financial acumen with experience managing P&L and achieving business targets.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and respond to changing market dynamics.
