Our client, a global player in payments acceptance solutions is expanding in the North America market and we are hiring a seasoned General Manager to run the region. As the GM, North America, you will oversee operations, growth, and profitability in the region. This role requires strategic leadership to drive business development, sales, and operational excellence. You will inspire high-performing teams while establishing the company as a market leader in North America. You will develop key partnerships and execute strategies to ensure long-term success.
What You Will Do:
Develop and implement a robust sales strategy tailored to North America, targeting key markets such as payments, retail, hospitality, distribution, and other verticals.
Identify, negotiate, and secure high-value partnerships with distributors, key accounts, ISVs, SaaS providers, banks, and enterprise clients.
Drive adoption of innovative payment hardware and solutions with a focus on customer needs and market trends.
Establish and oversee sales targets, performance metrics, and forecasting to achieve revenue goals.
Develop and execute a regional strategy aligned with global objectives and responsive to market dynamics.
Oversee multiple subsidiaries and operational units, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and profitability.
Lead market expansion efforts, identifying new opportunities and mitigating risks.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards, and corporate governance practices.
Manage resources and budgets to maximize operational efficiency and financial performance.
Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.
Define clear roles, goals, and performance expectations across all teams and subsidiaries.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance reputation and visibility.
Serve as a key spokesperson in the region, driving thought leadership in IoT and payment solutions.
What You Bring:
10+ years of leadership experience in business development, sales management, and operations, specifically in payment devices or related industries.
Proven success managing large-scale accounts and securing strategic partnerships with enterprise clients.
Strong understanding of payment hardware, certification processes, SaaS solutions, and the IoT ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex business strategies with measurable results.
Expertise in navigating dynamic environments with sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Established network with ISVs, SaaS providers, and payment industry stakeholders.
Exceptional negotiation and communication skills for building and sustaining partnerships.
Proven ability to build, inspire, and manage cross-functional, high-performing teams.
