We are seeking a Director of Payment Sales and Sales Operations to lead and execute the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for payments across a Vertical SaaS. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving payment sales, and ensuring seamless integration of payment solutions into existing SaaS offerings.

 

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in high-velocity sales, funnel-driven sales and marketing strategies, and the SMB space. They should have extensive experience managing the full sales cycle—including lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing—while driving sales operations across multiple business units. This role requires a leader with strong negotiation skills, the ability to motivate and inspire teams, and expertise in building and scaling successful sales organizations.

 

What You Will Do:

 
  • Lead the GTM strategy and execution for payments across SaaS business units.
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive payment adoption and revenue growth.
  • Work as an overlay to SaaS sales teams to integrate payment solutions successfully.
  • Align sales efforts with multiple business units and establish strong, long-term relationships.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Own sales reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Drive high-velocity sales and funnel-based sales and marketing strategies in the SMB space.
  • Lead sales operations efforts, ensuring alignment from GTM activities to merchant onboarding and implementation.
  • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and implement training programs.
  • Ensure sales quotas are met through structured goal-setting, daily check-ins, and progress monitoring.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end sales close processes.

 

What You Bring:
 
  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership within the integrated payments space.
  • Extensive experience in SaaS sales, with a strong understanding of integrated payments.
  • Proven success managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue.
  • Experience in coaching, advising, motivating, and team-building.
  • Travel requirements: 10% or less.
