As the Sales Manager, you will establish and lead a newly created field sales organization, delivering a localized, hands-on experience to merchants in key verticals. Your primary responsibility will be to build, manage, and inspire a high-performing team of quota-carrying Account Executives (AEs) targeting industries such as veterinary practices, medspas, and other related markets with significant growth potential. This frontline leadership role is both strategic and tactical—you will define and execute a vision for team-building and market expansion, while actively engaging with AEs in the field to drive sales and revenue growth. Leveraging your entrepreneurial mindset, you will craft a dynamic sales strategy, foster a culture of accountability and excellence, and lead your team to achieve ambitious revenue goals.

 

 

What You Will Do:

 

  • Build and scale a high-performing field sales team that thrives on collaboration, accountability, and results.
  • Recruit, train, and ramp up AEs to achieve KPIs and revenue targets while driving a high-velocity sales process.
  • Foster a sales culture focused on individual and team development, co-selling, coaching, recognition, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute a business plan with your team to capture market share and grow revenue within target verticals.
  • Drive revenue expansion by negotiating contracts and onboarding new merchants.
  • Partner with internal teams to align on messaging, campaigns, and product offerings to enhance sales efforts.
  • Use KPIs (e.g., SaaS metrics, win rates, activations, and activities) to monitor performance and make informed decisions.
  • Identify market growth indicators and implement strategies for success, including in-person sales motions and resource allocation.
  • Travel regularly to high-potential markets to lead by example, performing in-person sales alongside your team and engaging directly with merchants.
  • Build trust with AEs and cross-functional partners, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking.
  • Inspire and mentor team members to enhance performance, drive collaboration, and create a high-energy, results-driven environment.
  • Provide actionable feedback through regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Champion change management and motivate your team to embrace new initiatives with enthusiasm.

 

 

What You Bring:

 

  • Proven sales success, preferably in a high-growth environment.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing field sales teams, with a focus on account executives.
  • Experience in high-transaction SaaS applications and merchant acquiring sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain a high-performance sales culture.
  • Proven success scaling field sales teams and driving aggressive revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead and inspire.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
