Position Overview

The Sales Manager – US is responsible for driving sales and promoting the company’s fire-fighting product portfolio, with a focus on foam proportioning systems. This role manages relationships with end users, engineering companies, system manufacturers, contractors, and other key stakeholders in the firefighting industry. The Sales Manager will also oversee and support a network of Authorized Distributors, ensuring timely quotations, technical support, and service coordination to maximize market penetration and customer satisfaction in the US.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with end users, engineering firms, system manufacturers, and contractors.
  • Manage and support US Authorized Distributors, ensuring alignment on sales, technical guidance, and service.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the distributor network for comprehensive market coverage.
  • Serve as a technical expert on the company’s product portfolio and its applications in the US market.
  • Organize and oversee service activities, including commissioning, repair, and training of distributor and customer personnel.
  • Ensure timely submission of quotations, technical documentation, and follow-ups on orders or inquiries.
  • Maintain CRM database and contribute to marketing strategies, including trade show participation.
  • Collaborate with headquarters to provide market insights, trends, and customer feedback for product development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to position the company as a market and technology leader in the firefighting industry.

 

Key Performance Indicators:

Sales growth, service coverage, expansion of customer base, customer retention, and market presence.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Process, Mechanical, or Systems) or related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or technical sales, preferably in technical or investment products.
  • Good knowledge of fire-fighting products and industry, including trends and standards.
  • Strong understanding of business economics, sales processes, and market strategy.
  • International work experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages welcome.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the US and internationally (including company headquarters in Germany).
