About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on HR Manager to support our client's West Sacramento operations and lead employee relations during an important post-acquisition transition. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner ready to step into a manager title—or an HR Manager looking for a more balanced and meaningful opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site HR contact for 70+ employees

  • Manage employee relations including investigations, performance issues, and coaching

  • Support site leaders in resolving HR and administrative matters

  • Lead onboarding, offboarding, and performance improvement plans

  • Partner with HR Director to evaluate internal vs. outsourced leave management

  • Provide insights into engagement and retention through site presence and trend tracking

HR Tools & Systems

  • Paylocity – HRIS, ATS, onboarding, employee file management

  • MyMomentum – OSHA logs and incident tracking

  • Infinity – Employee training modules

Note: Strong HR compliance and SOPs already in place – this is not a "build-from-scratch" role.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Background in employee relations (preferably in manufacturing or logistics)

  • Enjoys mentoring managers and guiding front-line leadership

  • Values work-life balance and appreciates occasional schedule flexibility

  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus (not required)

  • Familiar with CA leave laws and/or third-party leave management vendors

Team Structure

  • Mentor and support an on-site HR Coordinator (growing into a Generalist)

  • Partner with another HR Generalist supporting Southern California sites

  • Report to a remote but highly involved HR Director

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000 (DOE)

  • Annual Bonus: Minimum $5,000 discretionary bonus
