We’re seeking a hands-on HR Manager to support our client's West Sacramento operations and lead employee relations during an important post-acquisition transition. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior HR Generalist or HR Business Partner ready to step into a manager title—or an HR Manager looking for a more balanced and meaningful opportunity.
Serve as the primary on-site HR contact for 70+ employees
Manage employee relations including investigations, performance issues, and coaching
Support site leaders in resolving HR and administrative matters
Lead onboarding, offboarding, and performance improvement plans
Partner with HR Director to evaluate internal vs. outsourced leave management
Provide insights into engagement and retention through site presence and trend tracking
Paylocity – HRIS, ATS, onboarding, employee file management
MyMomentum – OSHA logs and incident tracking
Infinity – Employee training modules
Note: Strong HR compliance and SOPs already in place – this is not a "build-from-scratch" role.
Background in employee relations (preferably in manufacturing or logistics)
Enjoys mentoring managers and guiding front-line leadership
Values work-life balance and appreciates occasional schedule flexibility
Spanish bilingual skills are a plus (not required)
Familiar with CA leave laws and/or third-party leave management vendors
Mentor and support an on-site HR Coordinator (growing into a Generalist)
Partner with another HR Generalist supporting Southern California sites
Report to a remote but highly involved HR Director
Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000 (DOE)
Annual Bonus: Minimum $5,000 discretionary bonus
