Successful manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives across operations. Person will be responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems to ensure all products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership and mentorship to the quality team to build a high-performing group
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve quality control processes, procedures, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and customer quality requirements
- Investigate and resolve product quality issues using root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Spearhead continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes and outputs
- Lead the internal quality auditing program and management review process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality objectives with business goals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with a Tier 1-2 automotive supplier
- Expert knowledge of quality management systems like IATF 16949, as well as quality tools and methodologies
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and resolving complex quality problems
- Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills
- Certification in Six Sigma, SQE, or other quality disciplines preferred
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
