LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Location: Washington, DC

 

 

An international AmLaw 50-ranked law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment (L&E) Associate Attorney to join their thriving Washington, DC office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for a diverse, high-profile client base.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia, in good standing.
  • 3–5 years of substantive experience in L&E law/litigation matters.
  • Litigation Experience: Drafting pleadings, managing discoverynegotiating with opposing counsel, and arguing motions in court.
  • Demonstrated experience leading case management, with the ability to handle complex legal matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Soft Skills: Strong research, writing, analysis, communication, and advocacy skills are essential, as well as a meticulous attention to detail.
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in complex L&E matters and litigation, providing strategic and practical advice on complex issues.
  • Provide strategic counsel on L&E disputes and compliance matters.
  • Lead case management from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial.
  • Work closely with clients to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $260,000-$365,000 annually, as determined by experience and market factors.

  • Bonus Eligibility.
