LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY (PARTNER/OF COUNSEL)

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is seeking an Of Counsel/Partner Attorney to join their Labor & Employment (L&E) Litigation team. Attorneys in this role, based in Downtown Los Angeles, will primarily focus on single plaintiff and wage & hour class litigation.

 

This is a unique opportunity to take on a significant role within a well-respected practice, with no portable book of business required. The ideal candidate will be highly ambitious and eager to contribute to the firm's long-term succession plan.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record

  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing

  • 7+ years of substantive experience in labor & employment litigation

  • Extensive experience with individual FEHA cases and counseling employers on compliance matters is required

  • Proven experience managing discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to manage complex cases independently

  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal and client management skills

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in complex L&E litigation matters, with a focus on individual FEHA cases

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing for trial

  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on labor and employment compliance and risk mitigation

  • Work closely with clients to develop innovative legal strategies and solutions

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys to deliver high-quality legal services

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Salary: $200,000 – $250,000, as determined by experience and market factors
  • Bonus eligibility
