GLOBAL PRIVACY & CYBERSECURITY ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, an international AmLaw 100 firm with a top-tier international privacy practice, is seeking a talented Global Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate Attorney to join its internationally recognized Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group in New York. This is an outstanding opportunity for an associate to work on complex, high-profile matters involving cutting-edge privacy regulations and data security challenges for clients across industries.
Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
-
Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing, or eligibility to obtain admission within one year of employment

2–3 years of substantive experience (class of 2022 – class of 2021) in privacy and cybersecurity law.
- Experience advising on data breach response, privacy compliance frameworks (domestic and international), and regulatory investigations.
- Familiarity with U.S. and global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA) and incident response protocols
- Prior experience at a large law firm of comparable rank

Demonstrated enthusiasm for privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technology issues.
- Key Skills: Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills; proactive client service mindset; and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on compliance with U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other evolving frameworks
- Assist with incident response and breach preparedness, including counseling on regulatory notification obligations and managing cross-border data breach investigations
- Represent clients in privacy- and cybersecurity-related regulatory investigations and enforcement actions

Draft and negotiate privacy and data security provisions in commercial agreements and corporate transactions
- Support clients on privacy-related aspects of corporate policies, procedures, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide integrated advice on technology, regulatory, and litigation matters

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $260,000 – $310,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
