Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its leading Insurance Coverage Practice. This partnership-track opportunity is ideal for a mid-level associate who is eager to handle sophisticated insurance coverage matters and litigation, while working closely with policyholders and insurers across a wide range of industries.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record (Class Years 2020-2022)
  • Active Bar Admission in Massachusetts, in good standing
    • Candidates who intend to relocate and are willing to gain admission within the first year of employment are also welcome to apply
  • 3–5 years of substantive insurance coverage experience, preferably representing policyholders or insurers
  • Litigation experience, with familiarity in first- and third-party insurance policies and insurance policy interpretation
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills, with demonstrated initiative and leadership ability
  • Professionalism: Client-service oriented, collaborative, and committed to excellence; eagerness to engage in pro bono matters
 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent policyholders and insurers in complex insurance coverage matters, including litigation and arbitration
  • Draft, analyze, and interpret first- and third-party insurance policies and related agreements
  • Provide clear and strategic legal advice to clients on a variety of insurance coverage issues
  • Handle motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation for litigated matters
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
  • Engage in direct client communication, offering practical and business-focused guidance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to start at $260,000-$365,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
  • Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available.
