ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – HEALTH CARE & FDA REGULATORY

A prominent international AmLaw 50 law firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their nationally recognized Health Care & Policy Practice in Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to advise on complex Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory matters at the intersection of law, health care, and public policy.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia, in good standing
  • 3–4 years of substantive experience in FDA regulatory compliance
  • Background in drug and medical device compliance matters, ideally including current good manufacturing practice (CGMP) issues
  • Prior industry experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a scientific background in analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, or microbiology is strongly preferred
  • Experience working at the FDA is a plus
  • Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong writing ability, and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment are essential

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance and enforcement matters related to drugs, biologics, and medical devices
  • Counsel clients on issues involving CGMP, product development, labeling, and post-market obligations
  • Provide guidance on risk management and quality system requirements for FDA-regulated products
  • Collaborate with clients to navigate complex regulatory and compliance challenges
  • Support high-profile matters that often require interaction with federal regulators

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $260,000-$310,000, commensurate with experience, along with a generous bonus structure
