Job DescriptionThe Operations Manager will lead all aspects of day-to-day grain elevator operations to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable performance. This includes supervising teams, overseeing grain handling, managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and driving operational improvements.

  • Manage inventory levels and maintain effective inventory control
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and ensure facility reliability and safety
  • Lead, train, and develop operational staff
  • Execute cost control initiatives to drive operational efficiency
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and environmental standards
  • Monitor grain quality, space allocation, and blend opportunities
  • Maintain asset security and energy conservation programs
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers as needed
  • Communicate regularly with regional leadership

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a grain elevator or terminal setting
  • Proven track record managing safety programs and operational teams
  • Familiarity with grain operations and logistics
  • Experience in wheat operations preferred, but not required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and maintenance oversight skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
  • Bachelor’s degree not required
