Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead and manage production operations. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met. Your leadership will drive efficiency and effectiveness across all production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate production schedules, including mold conversions, changes, and preventative maintenance on molding machines.
  • Manage machine scheduling and oversee mold changes to align with production timelines.
  • Communicate upcoming changes in materials and colors to floor personnel based on production schedules.
  • Lead Shift Supervisors to promote safety, quality, and productivity across shifts.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Mold departments to optimize schedules and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain organized work areas.
  • Adjust machines and auxiliary equipment as necessary and test new molds, recommending modifications when needed.
  • Work with Shift Supervisors to identify and resolve manufacturing issues related to molds, materials, and machines.
  • Recommend cycle times to ensure the production of quality parts.
  • Perform minor maintenance repairs and handle administrative duties, including documentation and performance appraisals.
  • Review and manage backorder status weekly with the Production Scheduler.
  • Oversee maintenance and training on the mold-work order system.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial management or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Proven experience in managing a molding operation with knowledge of injection machine operations and molds.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including CRM, MS Office Suite, and IQMS.
