Sales Professional Beef

The Beef Sales Professional is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets while ensuring effective product rotation in a perishable trim sales environment. This role involves identifying market opportunities, prospecting and engaging new clients, developing proposals, and managing the contract process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet tight deadlines and achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Identify and develop new client relationships within a designated market or geographic area.
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs and business objectives.
  • Create innovative proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations.
  • Provide insightful and actionable product or service recommendations.
  • Address and resolve sales or delivery issues efficiently.
  • Prepare clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective clients.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales management, and accounting to optimize sales efforts.
  • Boxed Beef, Trim, Steaks, Sausage, Fat 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong listening, presentation, and business networking skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiation, and business acumen skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of the beef industry and various meat cuts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a diverse workforce and with upper management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in protein sales.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Agriculture, or related sciences (preferred but not required).
