About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Laser Operator to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating automated fiber optic laser machines (Mazak preferred) and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently and accurately. This role requires strong attention to detail, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to maintain production standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
\nSet up and operate automated fiber optic laser machines (Mazak preferred)
\nProgram machine movement and cycle speed
\nPerform laser alignment and nozzle checks during setup
\nLoad raw materials and unload processed parts and skeletons
\nConduct first-piece and in-process inspections of sheet metal parts
\nPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
\nWork with aluminum, steel, and stainless materials
\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
\nFollow production schedules and meet quality standards
\nQualifications/Requirements
\n3+ years of experience operating and setting up fiber optic laser machines with automation (Mazak preferred)
\nPrior experience working in a manufacturing environment
\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
\nSkilled in basic inspection of sheet metal parts
\nProficient in using calipers, tape measures, and hand tools
\nAble to lift up to 75 lbs as needed

Job Title: Laser Operator
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Range: $25 – $29 per hour
