Our client, a rapidly expanding agri-food organization, is looking for a hands-on and driven Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day activities across key processing plants in Swift Current and Success, SK.This role focuses on optimizing productivity, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and developing a high-performing team culture. The Operations Manager will play a key part in future growth strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Operations Manager Details

  • Monday to Friday – 8-hour shifts (flexible as needed) Full-time, Permanent
  • Competitive salary - * based on experience and qualifications
  • 3 weeks’ vacation
  • Bonus structure based on performance (company and Individual)
  • Benefits after 90 days
  • Location: Swift Current, SK (with local travel to other facilities)

 

Operations Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple grain processing plants (cleaning, sizing, splitting, loading/unloading).
  • Lead and mentor plant teams, including direct reports.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on innovation and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to align priorities and respond to plant needs.
  • Monitor and improve processing systems for operational efficiency.
  • Assist in budgeting, costing, and tracking operational KPIs.
  • Proactively resolve equipment or staffing issues and implement preventative solutions.
  • Drive improvements in workflow, productivity, and training programs.
  • Actively contribute to long-term planning and strategic development.

 

Operations Manager Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in food manufacturing or agricultural commodity operations
  • Strong leadership and team management background
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience overseeing multiple facilities and reporting structures
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, production output, and plant performance
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
